For poppy seed or nut noodles, quickly knead all ingredients on a floured board, form into a roll and let rest covered for about 30 minutes.

Divide into small pieces, shape into noodles or Schupfnudeln using the flat of your hand and light pressure. Boil salted water in a pot and simmer noodles in it for about 10-15 minutes.

Carefully lift out of the water with a sieve or perforated ladle. Foam butter in a pan, toss noodles in it and add nuts or poppy seeds. Toss and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Preparation Tip:

Instead of poppy seed or nut noodles, you can also make fruit dumplings from this dough. It goes well with stewed fruit or stewed plums.
