For the vanilla pears, grate the zest from the lemon and squeeze the fruit.

Peel the pears, cut them in half and remove the core.

In a saucepan, cover the pear halves just with water and steam with a tablespoon of lemon juice until firm to the bite. Season with lemon juice and zest.

Mix the almond slivers with the cocoa.

Prepare vanilla pudding according to package directions.

Divide half of the vanilla pudding into dessert dishes, place pear halves on top and sprinkle with almond sliver/cocoa mixture and cover with remaining vanilla pudding.

Serve the vanilla pears dusted with a little cocoa.

Preparation Tip:

The vanilla pears also taste great with whipped cream!
