For the frosting:


For the strawberry chocolate muffins, melt butter and chocolate in a water bath. Allow to cool slightly.

Slowly stir sugar and egg into the chocolate-butter mixture. Gently fold in flour, baking powder and salt. Pour the batter into 6 muffin cups and bake at 175 °C for 20 to 25 minutes.

For the frosting, melt the white chocolate in a bain-marie, mix with the cream cheese and refrigerate for about 1 hour.

Wash the strawberries and remove the green and pat dry. Once the muffins are cooled spread the frosting on top, place the strawberries on top and add another dab of the frosting.

Serve the strawberry chocolate muffins.

Preparation Tip:

If you like, sprinkle some chopped pistachios over the strawberry chocolate muffins.
