Pour the flour into baking bowl and press a bulge in the center. Crumble the yeast into the bulge. Sprinkle a little sugar over the yeast, remaining sugar, salt and butter flakes on top of the flour. Warm the cow’s milk slightly and pour over the yeast.

Melt the yeast in the cow’s milk, then start from the center and knead all the ingredients into a smooth dough. Knead the dough vigorously until shiny.

Dust with flour and let rise in a warm place with the lid closed until it has doubled in volume (about 1/2 hour ). Meanwhile, boil the cow’s milk with the salt, sprinkle the semolina and cook a thick porridge on the stove. Add the sugar, poppy seeds and grapes. When the mixture has cooled down a little, add the eggs. Let it cool down. Knead the dough as usual and divide it in half. Arrange each half into a ball.

Grease the juice pan properly. Roll out a ball of dough on the floured work surface and place in the juice pan. Press up the edge around it. Place the poppy seed mixture evenly on top. Roll out the other dough ball on the floured surface to a rectangle of 50×300 mm. Using a cake wheel, cut into 1 cm wide strips and use them to make a lattice on the poppy seed mixture. The distance between each strip of dough is 3 cm. Mix the egg yolk with the cow’s milk and brush the strips of dough with it.
