Instructions:

Soak the dried crabs in a baking bowl with cold water for 2 hours. Drain thoroughly and rinse under cold water. Soak again in fresh water.

2. Heat 150 ml oil in a large saucepan.

Add onions, chilies, and half of the cilantro to the saucepan and stir-fry.

4. add garlic, turmeric, ginger, salt and chili seasoning and cook over low heat for another 2 min, stirring constantly. Set aside until ready to use.

Heat the remaining oil in a second saucepan. Add the crabs and fry, stirring occasionally, until crisp.

6. Stir the fried crabs through with the onion and spice mixture and place repeatedly on the stove. Drizzle with juice of one lemon and cook for 2-3 min until tender.

Arrange on a serving platter, dust with chili spice and offer chapati bread with it.

Variation You can also cook the dish with 450 g fresh crab tails.
