A simple but delicious cake recipe:

Pour the whiskey into a small baking bowl. Peel the orange thinly and marinate the peel in the whiskey for a few hours. Discard the peel. Soak the raisins in the whiskey while you prepare the cake. Beat the butter and sugar until creamy. Add the eggs a little at a time, beating constantly, incorporating a teaspoon of flour at a time. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt together and stir into the egg mixture. Stir in the raisins along with the whiskey. Line a greased round baking pan (17.5 cm diameter) with parchment paper, pour in the dough mixture and bake at 180 °C in a heated oven. Cool on a cooling rack.
