A simple but delicious cake recipe:

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Grease a loaf pan (22 cm) and sprinkle with flour.

Sift flour with baking powder and salt into a large enough bowl and set aside.

In a second baking bowl, cream butter and sugar with a mixer. Add eggs and beat in thoroughly. Fold in sour poppy seeds, juice of one lemon, whipping cream and zest.

Add the flour mixture and fold in. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake in the heated oven on the middle shelf for 55-60 min. The cake bread is baked when no more dough sticks when tested with a stick.

Cool the bread in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove it from the edge of the pan with a kitchen knife.

Makes 1 (cake) loaf.

Notes: Baked in flexi-form (22cm), easy & good.
