Instructions:

For the banana marble cake, preheat the oven to 180°C top/bottom heat. Peel the bananas and roughly mash them with a fork. Mix flour with salt and baking soda.

Mix soft margarine and vanilla bean grate with a mixer. Slowly sift in sugar. Add eggs and bananas and mix vigorously. Add flour and sour cream alternately.

Grease a cake pan with margarine and crumble it. Pour in half of the dough. Mix the rest of the dough with the cocoa and pour it in as well.

Put the Gugelhupf in the oven and bake for about 60 minutes. Turn the finished cake out onto a plate and serve sprinkled with powdered sugar.

Preparation Tip:

2 tablespoons of rum or a few drops of rum flavoring mixed into the dough before baking goes very well with the taste of banana marble cake.
