The day before the invitation

Heat electric stove to 200 degrees. Defrost the puff pastry. Place two sheets on top of each other and roll out on floured work surface (about 15×20 cm). Using a kitchen knife, cut out a total of 24 squares (5×5 cm each). Place the cookies on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake at 220 degrees (gas: level 4) for 15 minutes. Cool. Keep dry.

1 hour before guests arrive:

Rinse tomatoes and cut in half. Halve the olives. Rinse anchovies with water, dry and cut in half. Rinse culinary herbs, shake dry. Spread a tiny bit of tapenade on the cookies. Decorate alternately with tomato halves, olives, anchovies or herb leaf. Offer with pastis.

Our tip: As an alternative to fresh herbs, you can also use frozen ones – they also stand out for their fresh taste!
