For the sesame crackers, preheat the oven to 240° top/bottom heat. Put the wheat flour and wholemeal flour in a bowl, add the yeast and mix well.
Add the spices, sesame seeds, water and buttermilk, mix well and knead vigorously. Dust the dough with a little flour and let it rise in a warm place for about 20 minutes.
Then form small loaves with a spoon, brush with water, sprinkle with sesame seeds and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
Bake for about 10 minutes, turn down to 180° and bake for another 10-15 minutes. Then place the sesame crackers on a wire rack to cool.

The sesame crackers also taste very good with pumpkin seeds.
