For the nut potatoes, cut out nut-sized small balls from the peeled, raw potatoes (with a special cutter).
Boil the balls in salted water for 5 minutes, remove and pat well. Then bake in hot fat until golden and floating.
Lift out nut potatoes and drain fat well before serving.
Preparation Tip:
Nut potatoes are very good for decorating hot platters.
