For the dried fruit doughnuts, mix yeast with lukewarm milk and stir with a little flour to form a thick paste. Let this dampfl rise until it has doubled in volume. Then knead with the remaining flour, strained potatoes, egg, yolks, salt and melted butter to form a firmer dough. Let the dough rise.

Form into a roll on a floured work surface and cut off small pieces. Roll out into small round plat’ls and top them with the prepared dried fruit balls. Fold the plat’ln, press the edges well together and let rise on a floured cloth. Then bake in hot oil approx. 170°C until brown on both sides.

Lift out, arrange and sprinkle with cinnamon powdered sugar. For the filling, cut the dried plums and figs into small cubes. Add the peeled apples. Add the nuts, the liquid honey, rum, cinnamon and some lemon juice and knead everything together. Form the dried fruit doughnuts into small balls.
