Toast the bread slices without grease on both sides. Halve the garlic cloves and rub each bread well with them. Season with freshly ground salt, drizzle with olive oil. Cut tomatoes in half and grate directly onto breads with a kitchen grater. Place slices of ham on the breads, garnish with olives or capers.
